Enrolment Applications

Thank you for your interest in applying to enrol your child at Settlers Primary School. The Department of Education has designated Settlers Primary as a local intake school and priority of enrolment is given to children who reside within our intake area. Out of Area applications will be considered in line with the Department of Education Enrolment Policy. In Western Australia, children can start their education in Kindergarten, however compulsory schooling starts the following year in Pre-primary.

Enrolment in a public school is a two-step process. 


Parents seeking to enrol their child need to first complete an Application for Enrolment Form (available in hard copy upon request from the Administration Office or download from the relevant link) 

To assist the school to determine the student’s eligibility under the enrolment criteria, the following supporting documentation must accompany the application for enrolment.

  1. Your child’s birth certificate (telephone the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages on 1300 305 021 if you do not have one)
  • Your child’s Immunisation History Statement (obtained within the last 3 months, visit the Department of Health for instructions on how to obtain this statement)
  • proof of your current address (e.g. recent accounts for electricity, water, gas, council rates or tenancy agreement) The school may ask for up to 3 documents to satisfy proof of residency
  • copies of Family Court orders for confirmation of proof of name or custody arrangements

Applications cannot be considered until such time as all documented evidence is provided to the school. You may send the completed form, accompanied with the supporting documentation by email to settlers.ps@education.wa.edu.au or in person or post to:

As part of our enrolment process a meeting with the Principal will be arranged for all new students from Pre-Primary to Year 6.


If your application is successful, you will be provided with a complete enrolment package including additional documentation required to be completed and returned to confirm your enrolment prior to commencement.
