Faction Swimming Carnival

The Settlers Primary School Faction Swimming Carnival for all students in years 4 to 6 will be held at the Rockingham Aquatic Centre

Attendance to the carnival is compulsory.

As the carnival is being held during school hours buses have been hired to transport the children to and from the venue. All students are required to come to school before the carnival and travel with their classmates on the bus.

The cost for the carnival is $7.00, this covers both the entrance to the facility and travel by bus both to and from the venue.  Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the carnival and cheer on the students, the cost per spectator is $2.00, which is payable at the pool entrance on the day.

We encourage all students to participate in the swimming aspects of the Faction Swimming Carnival, however, acknowledge that not all students are capable of swimming 25 or 50 metres (depending on year level) and/or are not confident in doing so. As such whilst attendance is compulsory, competing in the timed swimming events is not. The swimming events are by nomination only.  All students including those who do not nominate for specific events will be competing in tabloid events in the waist and ankle deep pools where there will be trained lifeguards on duty.
