Parent/family assistance in the classroom and with school activities is always welcomed. It gives parents the opportunity to take an active part in class activities and to develop an understanding of how children learn. At the same time parent help enables teachers to give more individual attention to members of the class. If you wish to assist in the class, please contact your child’s classroom teacher or watch for messages asking for assistance with special school events.
Parents can assist with school activities such as athletics carnivals and excursions, Bookclub and Science Week or by joining the P&C. Further information contact the P&C Association.
Parents working with children in the classroom or assisting on excursions are required to complete a Department of Education Confidential Declaration which is available from the school office. In some cases, there may be a need to obtain a Working with Children declaration. Information on these requirements is also available from the school office.
