Partnerships with Universities
Settlers Primary School has long standing partnerships with Curtin, Edith Cowan, Notre Dame and Murdoch Universities. We also develop partnerships with Open Universities such as Swinburne.
Our outstanding staff mentor Student Teachers to ensure that future educators are of a high calibre.
Student Teachers support Settlers Primary School students to achieve their potential by working with students 1 on 1, in small groups and the whole class. This increases teacher to student ratios providing students with increased explicit teaching opportunities.
Partnerships with Secondary Schools
Settlers Primary School has a multi-dimensional partnership with our local Secondary Schools. As well as transition programs Settlers Primary School supports Year 11 and 12 students through work experience opportunities. We work closely with Baldivis Secondary College, Ridge View Secondary College, Comet Bay College, South Coast Baptist College, Kolbe Catholic College and SEDA.
Work Experience Students support the academic achievement of Settlers Primary School students by working 1 on 1 with students and in small groups. They also help with whole school events such as Sports Carnivals and Interschool Carnivals.
