Perth Zoo Sunset Safari & Sleepover at Settlers

To acknowledge the dedication and enthusiasm of our Year 6 Science Club students this year, students have been invited to attend a Sunset Safari Excursion to Perth Zoo and optional sleepover back at Settlers Primary School.

We will be travelling from Settlers Primary School by bus on Friday afternoon where students will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo until nearly closing time, when we will leave briefly to enjoy a dinner of Domino’s Pizza nearby, before returning to discover the Zoo after everyone else has gone home. We will get to go behind the scenes and get an insight into what happens at the Zoo after hours. Students will engage in an interactive conservation activity, create special enrichment items to be given to the animals and explore the African Savannah in a guided twilight tour.

At the conclusion of the Sunset Safari at approximately 9:00pm, students will return to Settlers Primary School by bus where they can either be collected by a parent/guardian or choose to remain and sleepover in the Science Room until 9am Saturday Morning. The sleepover includes a light supper and breakfast.
